Concerning Kill Me Baby

No, we haven’t dropped the series. In fact, the first chapter of vol 3 is almost done (how2cleanmanga). Crystallis Scanlations assumed we weren’t working on vol 3 and decided to start translating it on their own. We’ve spoken with them about maybe doing a joint project, but ultimately decided that it would be better if we just worked on things separately.

For those of you who enjoy our work, we ask that you continue being patient, because the wait is almost over. For those of you who just want to read the series, feel free to get the releases from Crystallis Scanlations, since they’re going to be going through it a lot faster than us.

As long as even one person downloads our work, we’ll continue to work on Baby Please Kill Me.

A. Yes, we know it’s out, and it’s being worked on. We just plan to get a little bit of Take Moon out of the way before we start to really to work on this. ETA mid November or early December.

A. Volume 2 is currently 50% done. Really. Will most likely definitely surely probably hopefully get the entire thing out all at once before Carnival Phantasm Vol 2 is completely subbed by the good folks over at UTW.

Complications (all the midterm and monetary problems in the world) have arisen, so we’re going to scrap our original plans to release the whole thing in one go. Instead we’ll release what we’ve done over the course of few weeks, and work on what we haven’t at the same time.

Q. Where the hell is Kill Me Baby Please Kill me (キルミーベイベー) I will murder you

A. Volume 3 is still not available. Though we are aware of the monthly chapter releases (which are actually kinda hard to obtain), we’d prefer to work on the actual tankobon scans which are generally touched-up + have better image quality plus fun omake stuff you can print out and sell to your friends and family. If volume 3 doesn’t hit the net by the time we finish up with Take Moon, we will consider working on the magazine raws (thanks to whoever linked them).

Q. Will you be subbing the Baby Please Kill Me Baby (キルミーベイベー) anime?

A. Only if no one else does it (this will never happen).

Q. I am a Seitokai no Wotashimi fan from the days of yore and have lost my job and family due to a crushing depression spawning from my withdrawal symptoms. Please work on the series!

Certain distractions are slowing down the progress of Take Moon vol 2, but it is being worked on. Expect a multi-chapter release when we do finish.

Take Moon Volume 1 Chapters 7-8

We’re back, and with a new series: Take Moon

Take Moon is a two-volume anthology of comics about games under the Type Moon brand, such as Tsukihime, Melty Blood, and Fate/Stay Night. This is sort of a commission from a member of the extended LLMBAC family, and since there’s an anime adaption coming out this year, we had no reason to refuse. On top of that, we here at LLMBAC love Type Moon.

Although this release covers chapters “7″ and “8″, previous scanlators decided for whatever reason to bundle two chapters together and call it one. So in actuality, these are actually more like chapters 11 and 12. For consistency, we plan to continue with the old numbering system, but will release chapters individually. Volume 1 has two remaining , and of course, we plan to do Volume 2 as well. Future releases will be…timely? Something like that.

Note: 1 out of 5 LLMBAC members have reported that the colors seem slightly off. The cause of this is most likely due to the guy who does all the work getting a new video card and installing Windows 7. If you’re having any problems, we suggest that you adjust your monitor’s settings until things are fine.

We Are (Not) Dead

So hey, long time no update. Not much to say. Coupled with school, other pieces of entertainment and various things, DK’s been busy. He’s still translating though, just… very slowly.

That’s all, really. Not much else the rest of us can do since we don’t know Japanese.

I just came here to tell you guys we’re not dead or inactive… well actually, I guess inactive might describe us well.

But we’re still alive. If only just barely, anyway.

With volume 2 of Kill Me Baby now done and a friendly reminder later, I got off my ass and compiled all of volume 2 into a nice little .rar for everyone. Kind of like how I did it for volume 1.

On that note, I’ll tell everyone here to please be patient as our group decides on a new manga to scanlate, especially since we put Seitokai no Wotanoshimi is on-hold, and our group isn’t doing anything. We have a few options in mind, but we wouldn’t mind getting more suggestions from you guys either.
